To Whom It May Concern:

This warranty applies to all Universal Sealed Lead Acid batteries sold within 365 days from date of original purchase.
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship and will be replaced with an equal battery of comparable performance or an account credit for a sum equal to what was paid for the battery in question.
Universal reserves the right to issue a call tag or return merchandise authorization to verify that the warranted parts in question have not been subjected to any obvious abuse or destruction that may have been caused from a source outside of the battery.
In the event you wish to make a claim under this warranty, a valid Purchase Order number for the part may be requested in conjunction with the request for credit or replacement.
This warranty does not cover discharged batteries that can be recharged and test at 100% or above specified capacity and have no visible exterior defects.
This warranty does not cover damage due to charging system failure, abuse, improper installation, freezing, or negligence.

Product information, depiction and/or details may vary and change from time to time. The customer is solely responsible for reliance on or use of and information, and for use or application on any product . Please contact us for any questions related to our products or services.

 



OPTIMA® Batteries, Inc. Limited Consumer Warranty

OPTIMA® Batteries, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that the battery is free of defects in material
and workmanship for the time period indicated below. The warranty period for a battery is calculated
from the original battery purchase date. The original sale receipt is required to establish proof of purchase
and warranty date, and must be provided to an authorized OPTIMA distributor or dealer for all warranty
claims. The warranty for replacement batteries will be based on the original battery purchase date, as
identified on the original battery purchase sale receipt. Under no circumstance will a replacement battery
have a warranty date different than the original battery purchase date. If a replacement is necessary due to
a defect in materials and/or workmanship, then upon return to an authorized OPTIMA distributor/dealer
for retail store purchases or the OPTIMA Battery factory for purchases made directly from OPTIMA

Batteries:

The battery will be replaced free of charge, within the free replacement period from date of original
purchase. The original battery sale receipt must be maintained for any further claims.
OPTIMA Batteries, Inc. will have no obligation under this limited warranty in the event the battery is
damaged or destroyed as a result of any of the following events: improper installation; damage or
destruction by abusive overcharging; collision; theft; improper maintenance or mishandling of the battery;
natural forces such as wind, lightning, hail, etc.; any willful or negligent act; penetration, or opening of
the battery case in any manner.
Replacement will be honored by an authorized OPTIMA Battery distributor or dealer. You are
responsible for paying all of the following costs associated with the replacement: labor for removal or
installation; applicable taxes; and any shipping or transportation costs incurred in returning the battery to
the distributor/dealer for evaluation.

THIS IS OPTIMA’S EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. NO PARTY IS GRANTED
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED AUTHORITY TO CHANGE OR ANNUL THIS
WARRANTY IN ANY MANNER. IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING THAT OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY
LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. OPTIMA DISCLAIMS
ANY LIABILITY FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

If you purchase your battery in a state/province that disallows limitations on implied warranty, or
exclusion or limitation of special, incidental or consequential damages, the limitation and exclusions
stated above may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state/province to state/province.

Warranty:

Lifeline batteries have a 5-year pro-rated warranty with a 1-year free replacement (12-month prorated warranty in applications other than marine or RV). The warranty period starts at the time of purchase. If the original receipt is lost, the warranty will be based on the battery date code. The warranty covers defects in material, workmanship and failure, except where such failure is due to abuse, neglect or breakage. The warranty does not cover consequential damage or injury, discharged batteries, rental, freight or installation costs. Replacement batteries will be provided at the time the warranty is requested. 30 Day Return Policy

Returned merchandise must include all original components, literature, warranties and packaging in the same saleable condition in which it was received. Refunds for returns will cover product amount and any sales taxes charged. Refunds will not be made for any shipping and handling charges. Shipping will be deducted from the refunded amount in cases where shipping had been paid by Marine Battery Shop. Damaged merchandise, cosmetically or otherwise, is subject to fee on a case-by-case basis. If an order has shipped, it is the purchasers responsibility to accept the shipment and return the order per our return policy. Orders that are refused at the designated shipping address will incur a shipping fee.
All returns must be called in to receive an RMA authorization by calling Marine Battery Shop at 1-866-265-1554.  We will be happy to represent you to the Manufacturer for your returns

Warranty

EnerSys Energy Products Inc. (“Manufacturer”) warrants its ODYSSEY® batteries (hereafter referred to as “Battery”) to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the earlier of (a) the Applicable Warranty Period or (b) within 400 cycles to 80% depth of discharge, whichever occurs first. The Applicable Warranty Period is two (2) years for power sports applications; three (3) years in automotive, marine, commercial, and industrial applications; and four (4) years in the case of the 75/86-PC1230, 25-PC1400, 35-PC1400, 34-PC1500, 34M-PC1500, 34R-PC1500, 34/78-PC1500, 65-PC1750, 31-PC2150, 31M-PC2150 and PC2250 batteries. The Applicable Warranty Period begins from the date of purchase with original receipt, or, if no receipt is available, from Manufacturer’s shipping date. Within the Applicable Warranty Period, the Battery will be replaced free of charge if, at the discretion of Manufacturer, adjustment is necessary due to defect in material or workmanship (not merely discharged). Batteries for warranty replacement consideration are to be returned to the original supplying distributor/dealer. If not truly feasible, other ODYSSEY distributors/dealers can be approached but a warranty processing fee may be applied. This warranty may vary from country to country; contact your authorized ODYSSEY battery wholesaler or dealer for the applicable warranty.

GENERAL PROVISIONS:
Manufacturer has no obligation under the limited warranty set forth above in the event the Battery is damaged or destroyed as a result of one or more of the following:
• Willful abuse or neglect or if the top decorative cover has been removed.
• Natural forces such as wind, lightning, hail; damage due to fire, collision, explosion, vandalism, theft, penetration or opening of the Battery case in any manner.
• Overcharging, undercharging, charging or installing in reverse polarity, improper maintenance, allowing the Battery to be deeply discharged via a parasitic load or mishandling of the Battery such as but not limited to using the terminals for lifting or carrying the Battery. Trickle chargers that do not have a regulated trickle charge voltage between 13.5V and 13.8V (no lower than 13.5V and no higher than 13.8V) will cause early failure of the Battery. Use of such chargers with the Battery will also void the Battery’s warranty.
• Failure to properly install the Battery or lack of metal jacket for high temperature or vibration applications.
• Normal deterioration in the electrical qualities or the acceleration of such deterioration due to conditions that accelerate such deterioration.
• If the Battery is used for an application that requires higher cranking power or a greater reserve rating than the Battery is designed to deliver, or the Battery capacity is less than the Battery capacity specified by the vehicle manufacturer, or the Battery is otherwise used in applications for which it was not designed.

• Prolonged storage of vehicles with fuel injection computers, alarms, GPS and other electrical devices that require continuous battery power to support active memories; this power drain must be offset with a maintenance-float charger, periodic charging or disconnecting the battery to prevent the establishment of irreversible crystallized sulphation in the battery plate oxide. 

Failure to address this destroys battery capacity and voids the warranty, as this is not a warranted defect in materials or workmanship. A battery with an open circuit voltage (OCV) of equal to or less then 10.0V will be deemed as overdischarged and void from warranty due to misuse and/or neglect

To obtain warranty service:
1. Return the Battery to any authorized ODYSSEY battery wholesaler or dealer.

2. If the Battery is determined by Manufacturer, in its sole discretion, to be defective for material or workmanship under terms of this limited warranty, it will be replaced.

3. Manufacturer's acceptance of any items shipped to Manufacturer shall not be deemed an admission that the items so shipped are defective.  Any items shipped back to Manufacturer, shall in Manufacturer’s sole discretion, become Manufacturer’s sole property.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF, AND MANUFACTURER DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. MANUFACTURER’S EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY SHALL BE TO REPLACE THE BATTERY WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE WARRANTY PERIOD. IN NO EVENT SHALL MANUFACTURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY OTHER KIND, WHETHER DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL OR OTHERWISE. NOR SHALL MANUFACTURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION EXPENSE, OR THE LOSS OF TIME OR PROFITS.

Some countries and/or states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary from country to country and/or state to state.

  Out of Stock Policy

  • The most important thing to keep in mind when ordering is that our stock balances fluctuate throughout the day with sales demand and stock that we receive from the manufacturers. Items are constantly being sold and our stock is constantly being replenished. If the item is identified as "Out of Stock", we can special order the item for you and ship it as soon as we get it. Most items ship within 2 weeks.
  • Just because the item you ordered is NOT identified as out-of-stock does not necessarily mean that it will be in-stock at the moment you order it. We will notify you if the item you ordered is out-of-stock. We first try to reply via email and give you 3 days to reply. If we have not heard from you we will then try to call you at the numbers you provide with your order. Be sure to give us your current email address and Phone Numbers.
  • Some items are listed for sale on our web site that have not been released from the manufacturer yet. We place these items on the web site so that consumers may pre-order the items. Pre-orders are reserved with payment up front on a first come, first served basis. You may also request to be placed on a “notify list” and we will let you know when products are in-stock and available for delivery. Be advised that prepaid orders always get priority for delivery.
  • Many out-of-stock items are excellent products and are available for purchase, but we do not always stock these items in inventory. We will be happy to special order these items for you in a timely fashion. Again, most items ship within 2 weeks.
